Position Summary The Human Resource assists with the day-to-day Human Resource and Business Office functions of the facility, ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety to residents, staff and visitors.
This position will assist with business objectives such as reduction in turnover, reduction in overtime and increased employee engagement for improvement of staff retention.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and guiding the Human Resources/Business Office department within established Williston Healthcare policies, procedures and applicable federal, state and local standards and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize, implement, evaluate the facility's Human Resources programs in accordance with WHR guidelines.
Interpret WHR policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc.

Maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for staff position in accordance with company policy.
Responsible for all recruitment, selection and training of personnel to include attending and promoting job fairs, recruitment, etc.
Complete the pre-employment processes, employment offers, pre-employment screens, previous employment references, and successful on-boarding of new staff.
Ensures timely bi-weekly payroll processing, including initial set up, rate changes, terminations, etc.
overseen by the Business Office Partner with Business Office Supervisor, Executive Director and Director of Nursing concerning staffing requirements.
Manages the facility's Workers Compensation claims, coordination of medical care, return to work, and liaison with insurance carrier.
Make routine inspections of the facility to assure established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
Oversee the conflict resolution process by assisting employees and managers in addressing work related conflicts in accordance with WHR policies.
Maintains all employee personnel, payroll, benefit, etc.
records in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of administrative duties, which may include reports, budgets, review of documents, benefits enrollment and changes, agency agreements, completion of performance management evaluations, and other employee related actions.
Represent the facility in dealings with outside organizations, groups, government agencies, etc.
, including unemployment and legal concerns.
Coordinate resources to facility surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies and ensure required compliance.
Ensure effective development and training of team members, evaluate performance, provide coaching and counseling as appropriate.
Maintain positive public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and residents.
Maintain and monitor the WHR employee of the month program and any other employee recognition programs.
Maintain all facility FMLA and LOA records and communicate concerns with home office Human Resources Manager.
Ensures timely completion of HRAFs, FMLA and disability claims.
Responsible to plan, lead and or assist with all employee engagement activities.
Organize information/data to identify trends and problems within your department; review information to determine underlying issues.
Generate measures to achieve business goals.
Position Requirement and Skills Must have working knowledge of appropriate Microsoft Office programs.
Must possess financial skills and knowledge of financial and budget reports.
Must possess strong organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management, prioritizing, initiative, delegation, follow through, and ability to meet deadlines.
Must have demonstrated decision making, problem solving, leadership and negotiation skills.
Superior verbal and written skills are essential.
Education & Experience Prefer a minimum two (2) years' experience in Human Resources.
Knowledge of HR core competencies recruiting, benefits, compensation, training, organizational development and knowledge of laws, regulations and guidelines concerning human resources administration in a nursing care facility.
Physical Requirements Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility which include a medical and physical examination.
Must be able to relate to and work with those who are ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile, within the facility.
Physically demanding, high stress environment.
Must be able to push, pull, move and/or left a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
Must be able to move intermittently through the workday Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and support agencies.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that enable the senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
