Summary:
Facility Operators (I) are responsible for supporting activities for a variety of day-to-day production, shipping, & receiving operations at Dr.
Earth manufacturing and fulfillment facilities.
This includes, but is not limited to:
packaging line operation, soils & dry fertilizer mixing operations, bulk materials receiving & shipping, packaged material receiving & shipping, and logistical support for order fulfillment.
Job Functions Essential Functions Forklift, wheel loader, & pallet jack operation Mixing and packaging line operation Operate and perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment Maintenance of facility production logs and reports Perform and record mathematical calculations related to inventory and facility operational activities Perform general facility maintenance such as wash-down, sweeping, cleaning, etc.
Physical Activities or Demands Perform daily manual labor tasks such as:
stacking, lifting, cleaning, and sweeping.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate plant vehicles and equipment.
Lifting and transporting of heavy objects Position Qualification Requirements Educational Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Requirements Five years of professional experience in a manufacturing or warehouse/distribution environment.
Heavy equipment operation & maintenance experience preferred Skills and Abilities Highly self motivated and directed.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
Ability to safely operate machinery, follow company safety policies, and to monitor the safety of fellow employees Skill in performing basic numerical computations and recordkeeping.
Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment and take direction from others License(s)/Certification(s) Required Valid, Class C or above Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
