$5000 SIGN ON BONUS!!!!Responsible for clinical identification, risk evaluation and coordination of corrective action implementation related to risk issues.
Provides intervention and education related to risk management issues to promote safe work practices and quality care and services; in an environment that is beneficial to the safety, health and well-being of all patients, visitors and hospital staff.
Coordinates risk programs with all facility departments, administration and the Chief of Quality.
Reports real and potential risk situations to the Governing Body, medical staff, administration, facility departments and committees, as appropriate.
Responsible for establishing and monitoring methods to avoid, eliminate and/or reduce risk situations associated with the provision of patient care and services.
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for leading a collaborative approach to risk management and regulatory compliance and is the person designated responsible for the following programs:
risk, safety, compliance, infection control, and emergency preparedness.
The Manager works with other members of the Clinical Services team to develop the annual risk management plan(s) for identifying and mitigating risk and ensuring compliance throughout the organization.
The Manager works with staff from all levels of the organization and with all disciplines to reduce and mitigate risk in all clinical services and all administrative departments.
The Manager works with staff at all levels to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
The Manager works with cross functional staff to identify best practices and works with the Clinical Services team to implement processes that improve patient care and mitigates risk.
The Manager will assist in implementing standards, policies and procedures in support of local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES50% Risk Management, Safety, Compliance, and Emergency Preparedness Works as part of an inter-disciplinary team to develop and implement on-going Risk Management programs that reduce the risk of adverse outcomes.
Develops policies and procedures that identify clinical protocols, areas of risk, near misses, and tracking progress related to risk goals.
Develops ongoing programs to educate staff regarding risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Develops systems for overseeing and reporting patient grievances/complaints, adverse events, near misses and potentially unsafe conditions including the development and implementation of event reporting policies and procedures Leads the development and implementation of the Risk Management work plan and execution of risk management training plan.
Monitors to ensure compliance of regulatory requirements (e.
g.
OSHA).
Monitors, investigates, and supports the timely resolution of compliance issues including conducting root cause analysis for any sentinel events.
Works with departments/service lines to monitor implementations/evaluations of action plans.
Conducts ongoing review of all ACH risk management policies and procedures to ensure documents are current and compliant in support of local, state, federal, and other regulatory requirements and/or private payor health plans Conducts quarterly risk management assessments and leads a multidisciplinary team to identify and document all completed risk management activities, performance status, completed risk management Must be RN preferably with risk management experience.
