Basic Function:
The primary role of the Electrical Design Engineer ? Sensing Technology is to lead sensor technology scoping and proof-of-concept investigations to enable the creation and execution of designs for self-service retail products through all phases of design, from conceptualization, design, development, and product launch.
Design challenges will involve researching, evaluating, selecting, developing and testing all means of sensor technologies with the goal of integrating of those technologies into reliable and robust subsystems, systems and product designs.
The role will require active project management skills, hands-on experience in system level design, the use and application of engineering analytical and problem solving tools to create and introduce commercially viable design solutions. The ability to establish, coordinate and manage project scheduling and tracking for project activities is essential. The ability to cooperate and collaborate closely with all Operations, Sourcing, Accounting, Sales, and Customer Support and Service functions of the organization is also essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to design, develop and maintain self-service retail solutions for optimum safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
+ Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify the critical characteristics that result in reliable cost effective designs that meet customer requirements.
+ Develop and define performance requirements, schedules, and deliverables for projects; maintain tracking for same.
+ Create and maintain product configurations and cost control through BOMs and structured PDM processes.
+ Develop, coordinate or conduct product performance testing for a wide range of designs and analyze and interpret the results.
+ Participate in and practice the Crane Business System (CBS) to include Lean activities and Kaizen events.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a well-rounded background in both hardware and software knowledge
+ Minimum 10 years engineering experience, with at least 5 years relevant experience in digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, especially board level circuits using microcontrollers and sensor integration.
+ Experience in system reliability analysis using both calculated and measured data with the ability to apply critical analysis, statistical analysis, and logic/problem solving skills to solve complex problems.
+ Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, realize and execute innovative system-level design solutions.
+ Experience managing requirements and validation of complex systems.
+ Familiar with Data Collection and Analysis tools and working knowledge of Electrical Engineering CAD tools such as Altium, PADS, etc.
+ Vehicle integration or machine automation experience is a plus.
+ Experience with radio communications, RF / wireless design, and analog processing is a plus.
+ Experience working with C, C++ and/or C#
+ Some travel may be required to support business needs.
Preferred qualifications:
+ An Advanced Engineering Degree is desirable.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
