Basic Function:
The primary role of the Electrical Engineering Technician is to collaborate with the electrical engineering team and others in meeting the electrical and electronic product needs of the organization. Specifically, this involves the design, development, prototyping, integration and testing of electrical systems and embedded electronics in safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manner. The position reports to Software and Hardware engineering Manager. The responsibilities of this role are listed, but not limited to, the below:
Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to design, develop and maintain electrical/electronic systems for the company?s vending products.
+ Create and maintain product configuration through BOMs and structured EC (engineering change) process.
+ Conduct testing and analysis to assess and determine root cause for hardware and other electrical/electronic failures; analyze and interpret results using statistical methods.
+ Provide technical support to manufacturing, sourcing, supplier quality, tech service and others.
+ Participate in continuous improvement, lean projects, and kaizen events.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
+ Associate?s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience.
+ 2+ years of experience working with analog and digital electronics, wire assemblies and harnesses.
+ Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and PCB assembly drawings and mechanical assembly drawings.
+ Good experience in hands on soldering through-hole and surface mount electrical components.
+ Experience using power tools such as drills, Dremel tool, and other power tools is preferred.
+ Experience using meters, oscilloscopes, calipers and similar measurement tools.
+ Able to work independently as well as within a team.
+ Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications.
+ Some domestic travel may be required.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and high integrated PCBAs containing microprocessors is a plus.
+ Experience using Linux as user is plus. Linux shell scripting (or other scripting language experience) is beneficial.
+ Ability to use and prepare CAD drawings, documentation and specifications for selected designs using Altium or similar software.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
