Product Manager

Job Summary
The Product Manager is the P&L owner for his or her assigned product. A leader, whose success is described in terms of overall market growth, profitability, market penetration, customer satisfaction and achievement of product differentiation. They are responsible for supporting the development of the business strategy, new product development and execution of the product lifecycle, including; gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, defining the product vision, and leading engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals are met.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Determining how to position to win for assigned products in the market place.
Driving the development and implementation of the solution set strategy for your products.
Manage the commercial performance of your products including sales and ship profit.
Managing the product life cycle.
Conducting voice of the customer.
Interacting with the sales team to support assigned products and position the team for field success
Being a key player and leader in the strategic planning and operating plan cycle.
Acting as the "messenger of the market" from the outside-in to the rest of the organization.
Collaborating with other stakeholders such as product marketing, sales, and customer support on the creation of positioning for your products.
Creating user stories for current and future products based on the market's problems.
Managing the entire product line life cycle from sun setting legacy products to introducing new features/products and ideas.
Knowing why we are winning and losing in the market, and drive changes to our product and processes to drive continuous improvement to customer experience and value proposition.
Communicate effectively with senior management, and cross functional peers.
As needed perform other duties/projects as assigned to support the needs of the business.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of marketing, development, sales, or product management experience or 3+ years of relevant experience and MBA.
Tech savvy and passionate about building products.
Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office.
Comfortable using collaboration and CRM JIRA and Salesforce desired.
Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our customers and sales team.
Must be a strong writer and be comfortable speaking for purposes of training and or events.
Excellent people and management skills to interact with cross-functional teams, partners and 3rd parties.
This position requires domestic and international travel to customer and potential sites up to 30 percent.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
