Job Overview
Entry level position to include supporting daily production operations by securing optimal supply of material required for assigned Value Stream(s) to meet customer commitments. The primary responsibilities are to utilize and manage CMS Material Replenishment System with minimal inventory investment. The process involves direct contact with both internal and external suppliers, transportation carriers, customer service, engineering, and Value Stream teams to meet or exceed customer requirements.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
+ Manage Kanban based Materials Replenishment System (MRS) for assigned Value Streams.Areas of focus are part availability, inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and MRS standard process control.
+ Provide daily communication updates to the Value Stream and Supply Chain team on specific parts impacting production, inventory, or KPI?s.
+ Conduct MRS actives in both cells and markets to improve parts presentation, Kanban execution, and material flow.
+ Drive to root cause and implement sustaining corrective actions around gaps in processes related to the MRS, inventory control, and supplier performance.
+ Plan and issue releases for production components and materials, maintenance items, tooling items, etc., in conformance to policies and economic benefit to Crane Merchandising Systems.
+ Schedules, coordinates and expedites the procurement of materials and components by maintaining proper lead time assuring deliveries are on-schedule to meet customer requirements.
+ Works with suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and supply chain to drive part expedite solutions as needed.
+ Suggest and implement appropriate MRS parts fulfillment improvements (Consignment, Reduced Lead-time/MOQ?s) based on part characteristics, supplier, demand to optimize material velocity and availability.
+ Presents company image of integrity in contacts with vendors, carriers and public.
+ Contributes to the company's goal of total systems quality and cost improvement.
Qualifications and Requirement
+ Project management experience (academic or internship experience in lieu of paid work experience will be considered).
+ Knowledge of Kanban in Lean Manufacturing Concepts is preferred but not required.
+ Must be able to work independently and meet assigned deadlines with frequent interruptions and distractions due to work environment.
+ Must be highly motivated and accountable.
+ Strong working knowledge of MS Excel required and Access skills a plus and solid Analytical/Financial skills.
+ Strong sense of urgency to meet customer requirements.
+ Must possess a high level of organization & planning skills as well as effective communications skills.
+ Must be a Team player and work well with others.
+ Must pass pre-employment Background Check & Drug Screen
Education, Licenses, Certifications
+ Associates degree in a related field or minimum of two years work experience is required.
Physical Requirements
+ Lifting: Able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 35 lbs. repeatedly.
+ Able to complete the physical activities normally anticipated within an office environment.
+ Able to work for long periods in the Work Conditions described below.
+ Able to stand for approximately 10 hours per day, typically with breaks every 2-4 hours.
+ Able to twist, bend, and stoop repeatedly.
Work Hours
This position works five 8-hour days. Starting times, days and hours are subject to change. Additional hours may be required.
Typical Environmental Conditions
+ Temperature: Indoors, not air conditioned
+ Noise: Hearing protection IS required.
+ Position is located in an enclosed office area next to the Value Stream on the Plant floor.Must be comfortable working in both office and plant floor environments.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
